Bottle Trees in Llano Legend

This display of beautiful color is produced by a thicket, or mott, of our fully decorated bottle trees. The fantastic glow as seen here was captured by camera as the sun lowered in the west, striking the glass-laden trees. This view is but a small part of our yard gallery.
In case you never heard the stories and legends -
Evil spirits are drawn to the glow of colored glass, especially blue wine bottles. They enter the bottles and are trapped inside, consumed, and converted to goodness and radiant light.
The legends are many, ranging in origin from Morocco, the Congo, and the Middle East, but all are basically the same.
I guess we subscribe to the legend; it is a story with a happy ending, and gives a little explanation as to how this glass puts forth such beauty.
